Rumors flying around that A & G and Alpha are going to or already have laid off hundreds of people? I have also heard rumors that Haliburton and EQT are closing? I hope and pray little or none of this is true. We couldn't afford to take this kind of hit here.

A&G had a lay off this saturday that I know of. EQT shutting down drilling operations around here to move more production to the shale in PA.

Haliburton has laid off alot of the workers. My understanding of is that they 3 options 1. Move to Pa. 2. Move to Wva or 3. Be laid off!
I got buddy who works in the mines in Ky. They were bought out by Alpha sometime last year. Now they are getting their hours cut back to 32 a week. Instead of the normal 40+ they have been getting. He was telling me the other day that they sent a ship load of coal across seas some wheres and the people over there sent it back. Saying that didn't want it.
